Scientific evidence has shown an association between organochlorine compounds (OCC) exposure and human health hazards. Concerning this, OCC detection in human adipose samples has to be considered a public health priority. This study evaluated the efficacy of various solid‐phase extraction (SPE) and cleanup methods for OCC determination in human adipose tissue. Octadecylsilyl endcapped (C18‐E), benzenesulfonic acid modified silica cation exchanger (SA), poly(styrene‐divinylbenzene (EN) and EN/RP18 SPE sorbents were evaluated. The relative sample cleanup provided by these SPE columns was evaluated using gas chromatography with electron capture detection (GC–ECD). The C18‐E columns with strong homogenization were found to provide the most effective cleanup, removing the greatest amount of interfering substance, and simultaneously ensuring good analyte recoveries higher than 70%. Recoveries > 70% with standard deviations (SD) < 15% were obtained for all compounds under the selected conditions. Method detection limits were in the 0.003–0.009 mg/kg range. The positive samples were confirmed by gas chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (GC‐MS/MS). The highest percentage found of the OCC in real samples corresponded to HCB, o,p′‐DDT and methoxychlor, which were detected in 80 and 95% of samples analyzed respectively. The synthesis of 3-hydroxy-2-hexanone and 2,3-hexanediol, two components of the aggregation pheromone of several cerambycid species, is disclosed in here. Starting from 2-hexanone, through an α-hydroxylation using (diacetoxyiodo)benzene, 3-hydroxy-2-hexanone is obtained in good yield. Further reduction of this compound, gives 2,3-hexanediol in excellent yield. A study of the α-hydroxylation reaction of several alkylketones using an hypervalent iodine reagent is also disclosed in here. The synthesis of optically active compounds (R)- and (S)-3-hydroxy-2-hexanone was achieved starting from 2-hexanone with nitrosobenzene and l- and d-proline respectively, in several reaction media. 相似文献

We study the one-loop quantum corrections for higher-derivative superfield theories, generalizing the approach for calculating the superfield effective potential. In particular, we calculate the effective potential for two versions of higher-derivative chiral superfield models. We point out that the equivalence of the higher-derivative theory for the chiral superfield and the one without higher derivatives but with an extended number of chiral superfields occurs only when the mass term is contained in the general Lagrangian. The presence of divergences can be taken as an indication of that equivalence. 相似文献

The insect midgut has ultimately been the focus of researches tempting to control insect pests because alterations in the insect gut may affect not only its development, but also physiological events such as nutrient absorption and transformation. The objective of the present work was to describe morphologically, histochemically, and ultrastructurally the larva midgut of Alabama argillacea (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), a cotton key pest in Brazil. Light and electronic transmission microscopy was used to obtain images from midgut sections of late fourth-instar larvae of A. argillacea. In general, the morphology, histochemistry, and ultrastructure characteristics of A. argillacea midgut follow that described in the literature for other lepidopteran species. However, the results showed a mitochondrial polymorphism and branched microvilli, which suggest an ultrastrucutural and physiological modification possibly associated with a high absorption and secretion activity by the columnar cells of this species. This intense activity may favor a faster response related to the action of ingested microbial agents and/or toxins, and can explain the high susceptibility of A. argillacea to the agents of control such as the toxin of Bacillus thuringiensis. 相似文献

study aims to characterize water from different salinities obtained in the Cariri region of Paraíba, Brazil. The samples were
analyzed using the DSC-coupled to the Peltier system (DSC-Cooling) and physical–chemical water tests performed employing reactive
kits, using the Spectroquant Merck? specific for each test. The calorimetric curves showed crystallization phase transitions with different characteristics in
peak format and crystallization temperatures between the samples of different salinities. The calorimetric data obtained in
the process of crystallization of water is directly correlated to the physico-chemical parameters of conductivity and total
dissolved solids, showing that the analytical technology DSC-cooling/heating is suitable for characterization of different

An electrochemical DNA biosensor for human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 detection has been developed. For this proposed biosensor, l-cysteine was first electrodeposited on the gold electrode surface to form l-cysteine film (CYSFILM). Subsequently, HPV16-specific probe was immobilized on the electrode surface with CYSFILM. Electrochemistry measurement was studied by differential pulse voltammetry method (DPV). The measurement was based on the reduction signals of methylene blue (MB) before and after hybridization either between probe and synthetic target or extracted DNA from clinical samples. The effect of probe concentration was analyzed and the best results were seen at 1000 nM. The hybridization detection presented high sensitivity and broad linear response to the synthetic-target concentration comprised between 18.75 nM and 250 nM as well as to a detection limit of 18.13 nM. The performance of this biosensor was also investigated by checking probe-modified electrode hybridization with extracted DNA from samples. The results showed that the biosensor was successfully developed and exhibited high sensitivity and satisfactory selectivity to HPV16. These results allow for the possibility of developing a new portable detection system for HPVs and for providing help in making an effective diagnosis in the early stages of infection. 相似文献
